Replacing 440 sixpack valley pan and Edelbrock aluminum intake on an original engine. I noticed when dissembling that the previous owner had used 4 gaskets. question is would it be necessary to use 4 gaskets again or can i just use sealant on the bottom of the valley pan? And gaskets between the valley pan and aluminum intake manifold. I was thinking that the previous installer might have used 4 gaskets because of leaks in the past. Can anyone recommend a good sealant?

I use 2 gaskets but I put them below the valley pan to seal Where the oil can be a problem .
You want a sealer That is fuel resistant , Right Stuff is great but not cheap
