Value of 1973 Cuda project?

I have a chance to buy a 73 Cuda project, but I want some opinions on value.

Numbers matching 340, although the engine needs a rebuild

Auto

Original F8 green

Quarters were done correctly, rockers and floor are great

Needs final sanding to be ready for primer/paint

I don't know much else, I have not seen the fender tag yet (it does have one)

Just looking for a rough guess

My time in the Chevy world left me broke and battered on value, and a worse human because of the garbage people around here that own Chevys lol

I scored a great deal on a 71 Duster and would love to have an E body beside it

What does the owner want for it? Instead of "whats it worth" perhaps it would be a more appropriate approach to say "is it worth _____". The value of a project such as this is all over the place depending on where one lives (projects have vastly different values depending on what part of the world you live in). Plus there are lots of variables; is it rusty underneath, what condition are the parts pieces in, etc.

Value could be $5K - $15K... I recently brokered a sale for a 70 GC 318 4spd Cuda with all metal work done (ready for paint) for $20K.

Not bad at all, still, make sure you do a good inspection .

Thats not horrible, spend some time looking at what is actually there, specifically look at the trim, grille, interior pieces, HVAC system, door mirrors, etc. The aftermarket makes a lot for E bodies but some things are very hard to come by and/or expensive.

Also take a hard look at the drive line components, not sure what condition the engine is in, but if not rebuilt at least make sure you can rotate the crank at least (pull the spark plugs).

All in all $12K isn't bad but understand you are going to put at least another $20-30K into it minimum to get it done.

If the body is solid and any rust issues have been resolved, and pretty much all the rest of the parts are there and in decent shape I would jump on it for that price (after trying to do a little haggling of course!)
