Yes, that makes senseIt crossed my mind that the factory mirror might have been replaced for filming purposes and some of the scenes may have been from the movie.
In 1971's "Vanishing Point" Kowalski's R/T has the cheapo basic mirror.I think the standard non-remote chrome mirror was standard even on the 70 RT. The racing mirrors were optional on all models as per the 70 Challenger dealer data book. You had to have the A04 radio group to include a remote mirror.
