Found 3 staples on each side of the front.2nd picture shows top is not under drip rail.Used a green pad to remove glue. Didn't remove it as I would have liked. used a rubber disk with duct tape.removed it a lot quicker and easier by hand,made little balls of glue. original paint in the middle section.cleaned scuffed and used KBS Diamond clear coat.And scuffed again for.glue. Found center on vinyl top.also marked length in foot increments from seam to center line. 2 pictures of old top with makers mark. Found center of roof on front from side edge of roof to other side. rear:back side of drip rail to other side. The may be a notch front and back on the window seam,I would say it line up very good. measure twice cut once. They way you measure may be different. Pull a string line and paint.
