Could please someone explain the wavy metal pieces attached to the bottom of my 70 Challenger.

Welcome to the site. It is hard to make out where under the car this picture is showing, but I'll take a stab at it. If this is a shot from the passenger side and the plate is on the other side of the trans tunnel, it should be the seat reinforcement plate for the drivers seat. Also, why not check into the welcome wagon and introduce your self ?.

Leo is right. it is the floor directly below the seats. The square pieces are set reinforcements
