At first glance it looks like a 1970, especially in the night when it looks like the picture was taken. After enlarging it with some software, and putting more light in it, it is indeed a 1972, or a 1973-74 with 72 bumpers.

the chrome on the front edge of the hood & fenders is missing , 72-74 didn't have chrome only 70-71

yea the owner said its a 73 but does not look like one... he told me the front end was blacked out...

So here is the grill enlarged and lightened up. You can see the lines of the blacked out 72-74 grill.

I think that it looks pretty good. The 70 and 71 styling looks better to me than the 72-74 did. I did a similar trick to a '73 I had years ago.

The pictures posted here made me think; how difficult would it be to modify the 72-74 fiberglass grill surround to fit the 70 egg crate grill section (available in repro form) by recessing it into the existing panel? With some fiberglass work of course! Could be a cool modification.

but how does this one look like a 70?? i can see the blacked out grille but it bloody looks like a 70 otherwise

What do they want for it? If it is very clean, solid, and no shoddy work, maybe $25,000. Does it have a VIN tag or fender tag?
