Running Short on Mod funds!!
So....With all the mods I worked earlier this year....I had to make do with my latest wheel sellection. I just put on
my American racing Tq Thrust II Polished.....Really liked the look of the wheels....but after my spring rear spering relocation
found enough room to enlarge the 295 tires on my 10" rims. I didn't have the funds to get the wheels I really wanted so I made
do with my next sellection Amercian Racing TQ Thrust M's. They Had the Offset I wanted to work with for the rear...18x10x24mm but
only offered (3) offsets for the front....none of which were perfect...so I went with the 17x8x30mm knowing I would be making the right
offset by fab'ing some spacers...and reworking the studs!! So....Here's what I did...For my set-up...a 14mm-20mm Offset works best for clearances
So I fab'ed up a .500 Hub-centric spacer with .010 clearance on the stud shanks...giving me about 17mm offset.Ordered the Moroso 190KSI 3" studs
Cut them to 2.3" in length. The factory studs had a longer shoulder that just came thru the spindle and I wanted shoulders to come out about .100 short
of the spacer parting plane...so I had a little more fab work to make my own shoulders. Once I was done....I put everything together...the wheels fit perfectly!!
Now...I have a little measureing and math to do for the rears...to calculate my possible spacers to build...to get a 305/315 under the fenders on the back!
Here's some pics!
