Question -- Has anyone put a wheel vintique 56 series next to a factory 15x7 rally wheel? Are there any differences? I have 3 15x7 original rally wheels and am thinking of buying 1 wheel vintique to complete the set but only if there are no differences. Below is a photo of the wheel vintiques series 56. Thanks, Rich

What are the part #s on your wheels?

As I understand it, the 70-71 15x7 rallyes part #2944390 were made in the US while the later 72-73 15x7 rallyes originally found on B-Bodies were part #3580071 and made in Canada.

The made in Canada wheels apparently have slight differences in the scallops as seen in this pic.

From what I've heard the rallyes from Wheel Vintiques are based off of the later made in Canada wheels as well.

I have originals on the front and reproductions on the rear. No one has ever noticed or ever commented in 34 years on the wheels if any different other than they like the look.

I bought a set of rallies from the company Wheel antique bought. They were a gray powder coat and I had to paint them light argent to make them even close to original. I agree hardly no one would ever notice the difference front to back but here’s a suggestion. Take the one original make that a spare and buy you two wheel antiques and put them on the same side.

On all of the reproductions, the valve stem is in the wrong location. On the factory wheel, the valve stem is centered on one of the decorative holes. That way, when the trim ring is attached, the reflection of the hole hides the black valve stem.

A question for you sir. Are the trim rings on front and back the same? The back look deeper in the picture which has me asking. If they're different do you remember where you got them? The only rings I've found are listed for both 15x7 and 15x8 which means there will be a slight gap on the back rims. Thanks in advance, Jim

This is the effect that @DaveBob is talking about. Subtle difference until you know about it.
