You might try these guys. I have not used them but I had SMS rebuild mine back in the 90's. I don't think they are in business any longer though. These guys do the same thing. They use hardened oversize rivets like SMS did and their price is about the same.

Ha! I can't read. Didn't even see the work "hood" in the thread title and assumed the OP was taking about door hinges. Apologies for the confusion.
