A 904 converter will only work in a 904 trans, so don't worry about the 727 converter tooth count. Starter fits all.
The b+m flex plate should have dual converter bolt pattern, for a 904 or both sizes of 727 converter.
Make sure you get the flex plate that zeros out the 72 cast crank imbalance...
Basement fresh thermoquad. Been off the road for more than 35years.
I thought it was the original that came with my car, so never checked the number. Its not.
Mixture screws turn, floats flop. Have not taken apart to check inside. It will need rebuilding.
$600 plus shipping. Will not fit in...
No rust in pivot or spring. Release lever has been straightened. Mount plate and lever arm have been fluffed off in the blaster. No blasting in pivot or spring.
$150 shipped in US (usps)
I did some checking on my current carb. Its the original 9379s 83 360 carb.
The mixture screws have had the covers cut off. Along with drilling the jets multiple times, the air horn adjustment is 3 turns from ramp contact, mixture screws are 3 turns out. Had to rebond the fuel wells when I went...
My intial choice was the 9207, based on condition. But the mixures screws are stuck. So while soaking... I decided to go with the 9077's. Because I have 3, the throttle shafts are still coated, no compensator valve and I don't think they have been apart.
Part throttle vacuum port can be added...
My truck is a 1ton dually. So no anything as far as emmisions.
It is now 9.5cr with a comp 260h cam.
I was just going through the list #'s .
I think I had almost all of them on at one point. None worked well.
It is a last gasp effort to tune, before the 440 goes in. And to learn something.
I'm a dedicated holley user, but I do like Carter AVS for stock applications.
My 84 dodge truck has a tq with the 360.
To say it does not run well would be an understatement. As in, no power. Idles, runs smooth, but thats it.
After seeing @Vaanth (s) threads I was going to go through a spare...
3 springs actually. Fiberglass, 1970, and 71 up. I have not checked my collection to see if the shaker spring is the 70 type, which is a hair softer than the shorter, bigger diameter 71 type.
I wonder if the shaker hood bowing is with an aftermarket hood?
My factory hoods have no deflection...
Do not drill the plates. You can get the extra airflow for idle speed by cracking the rear plates. There is a tiny set screw to adjust them.
If you drill the primary plates to get more air (and speed) the extra air will mess with the idle mixure fine tuning.
You are not the first to need to...
