On a K frame, easy off works.
Castrol super clean works and can be diluted.
Brake cleaner but could be harsh.

Take your pick. I would suggest the least aggressive. No need to use a solvent if something that's easily diluted and rinsed with water works.

If it's built up and caked, I would wipe off after spraying Super Clean or purple power. Scrub with nylon brush if needed. Move to something stronger if necessary.

That's probably a good place to start. I don't have access to warm water in my shop but I'd give it a shot.

I use Gunk engine cleaner on the engine and K member and 409 on the engine compartment painted surfaces. Then I use a garden hose to wash it away.

Depends how bad it is. I have used gasoline in a few circumstance. Kerosene to remove heavy grease and oil. Next Gunk to de grease. Kerosene and Gunk are about the same thing. Followed by a cleaner such as purple power or simple green. The to remove any residue of any sort dish soap and water. I have also used a window cleaner for a very mild cleaning. Start with a cleaner that you think matches you needs.
Take note! When cleaning, clean from the bottom up to prevent streaking. Also keep a little wet or just damp to keep any stain from setting in. Then wipe from top to bottom.

What do y'all use to clean the engine bay from leaking power steering fluid etc.
I didn't believe it until I tried it, but...Dawn foaming detergent works like a champ. It's bio-degradable and scrubs great. My Brother in law tuned me up on this. I laughed at first but now I am a believer.

Yep all the time on lots of items! If you have not used this. Keep spending your hard earned cash on other cleaners.

It's not worth it! When the wife finds out you took it the price is much higher! Ask me how I know! What's yours is theirs and what theirs is theirs.
