I used slick sand on my car and was pleased with the outcome. however it sprayed a lot different than paint and you need a large orafice gun 2.0 or larger. I sanded with 180grit then primered and it looks great.
I just finished all the body work on my car and used Evercoat rage(it's bright green in color. I've done a lot of body work over the years but am by no means a pro. I skim coated the whole car with rage, longborded with 60 grit then went over the whole car with icing(super thin filler that fills...
I think I'm finally done with all the body work and finished the priming and wet sanding. Now I can clean up all the dust
Now I can start putting it back together. If I remember how

I had a similar problem on my car and got a chrome drop base from Summit for about 20 bucks and now it clears no problem. The base dropped the filter about 9/16 of an inch
They are from March performance out of Naples Fla. I also have the power steering bracket and pulleys. They are great quality, clear coated aluminum and all the bolts and spacers were included
still waiting for push rods, should get them in a day or so. I just put it on to see if there was hood clearance, there is. I have a plug for my atv exhaust in the distributor hole I just removed it for the picture.
