air cleaner clearance issue on an E-BODY

I took my chrome air cleaner off to replace it with a MOPAR PERFORMANCE one and now the hood hits.

the original chrome one had 1.5"s clearance to hood,the MOPAR cleaner sits 2"s higher than the chrome.

which drop base would cure this prob?

its a M1 single plane and a holley 4150 hp series,no choke

I had a similar problem on my car and got a chrome drop base from Summit for about 20 bucks and now it clears no problem. The base dropped the filter about 9/16 of an inch

can you use the base from the AC you removed ?
