    8 3/4 axle play

I know the end play is adjustable on the passenger side, but does that also affect the drivers side end play? I do not have a FSM. I should try to get one though.

    8 3/4 axle play

i had to changeout the drivers side inner seal due to leaking. Greased the bearings, Put the new one in no problems. Placed the steel gasket/shim on, slid axle back in and bolted it up. I now have zero play. I understand it's not adjustable but figured I have just a little play. I did not put...

    Super stock springs

How do the espo +2 compare to the ride height of a super stock spring and how is the ride? What size is the tire in your picture?

    Super stock springs

    Super stock springs

i have a 73 challenger with a 440. Looking for new leaf springs. Thinking of going with the 3300lb springs in the car. The car is full weight so probably about 3600ish. Would that spring selection help it not ride like a dump truck or sag in the back? I currently have XHD springs, some...

    Pcv valve

I figured the breather would have some vacuum due to the pcv being hooked to the carb base and creating a vacuum to get rid of crankcase gases/fumes

    Pcv valve

Have the pcv installed and readjusted air idle screws to lean it back out to 13.5. Should I be able to feel a noticeable vacuum putting my hand over the breather vent?

    Pcv valve

I actually thought the breather was the pcv valve and had that going to the carb base. There's nothing on the driver side valve cove but a hole where the pcv should be. Good to know. my air cleaner doesn't have any ports for hoses so I'll be putting a filter straight on the breather.

    Pcv valve

so I was running without the pcv valve hooked up and had some smoke coming from the breather. So I hooked the pcv up and had to adjust the air idle screws by 5 turns each to richen it out to 14.5 at idle, I have an aem Uego sensor So I think the pcv is bad or not even inside. What is supposed to...

    Bad water pump?

Yes there is a spring in there. I'll probably get a cheapie water pump for $30 and put it on. If I can see it pushing water through the rad good, if not I'll get a new rad. Thanks for the tips on what to look for!

    73 challenger 440 won't start

I just had this problem today. I put in a new starter relay and it did the trick

    Bad water pump?

Also won't be able to hear the bearing over the gear drive.

    Bad water pump?

Yes, it's running hot. She's not road ready yet so i had it running in the driveway and shut her off when it got to about 215-220. Thermostat is new and I drilled 3 small holes in it. Using 1 14" electric fan.

    Bad water pump?

so I'm not sure if my water pump is bad or if my radiator is. When looking into the radiator with the engine running I can not see the coolant flowing, it just kinda sits there. Water pump and radiator are both original. I can see some very small debris in the radiator but I wouldn't think it...

Continuity between powered wires and ground.

Thank you, that is very helpful to know! Love this site.

Continuity between powered wires and ground.

should I be seeing continuity between any 12v wires and ground with the key in the on position? Doesn't have continuity in the off position.

    Overcharging16-18v

A sunpro voltage gauge(not the best source) and I've measures it with a blue point multimeter(better than the sunpro) both gave the same readings.

    Overcharging16-18v

I had them bench test the new alt before I left the store with it, tested good. Positive connections are clean. I'm measuring voltage from a 12v switched power wire inside the car. Tested the same with a multimeter as the voltage gauge.
