    Decades old acrylic lacquer paint

Yep, that is pretty much the plan. I've been cleaning stainless trim for days, and every piece that goes on makes me not care about the paint a little bit more :-). I actually spayed some rattle can clear under one of the sill plates yesterday and it looks better than I could have expected. Just...

    Decades old acrylic lacquer paint

I have a 1970 440-6 Cuda that was painted in the late 80's and never put back on the road. It is a very poor paint job, but no peeling or flaking. Lots of spidering and flaws. I never even put any trim on it because the plan was always to have it repainted. Fast forward thirty plus years and...

    Exterior emblems...

Above reply is spot on. I removed a stick on emblem that was probably applied when the car was repainted in 2004. I didn't even heat it up, and I had fishing line in the shop so used it and went right through the tape. Used goo gone to finish removing glue and residue. Worked great.

Thoughts on Mopar Collector Guide Magazine

My renewal is up soon also, trying to decide whether to reup or not? Probably will. I actually enjoy reading about the unique or unusual cars. Sometimes I like the stories, others, I just want to read about the car. I could care less who owns it or how big anyone's collection is. If it's a neat...

    440-6 Registry?

OK, here's the deal. I have a 440-6 Cuda with a verified 6 bbl engine from another car. Long story short, the owner of the car my engine belongs in tracked me down many years ago through a previous owner of both cars. He lived in LA. I'm in Texas. He offered to send someone to me and just trade...

WTB 1968-1971 340 Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield

Thanks for the update! Just what I wanted to hear. Quick question. How did they come from the factory? Bare metal, Hemi Orange or Black?

    4 post lift recommendations ?

I was at Mecum/Dallas over the weekend and examined both, Advantage and Backyard Buddy. The Advantage lift is better. Bigger cables, heavier built all the way around, but Backyard Buddy had a $2,000 discount for the show. They still have the discount on their website, but it appears that you...

    Anybody having problems with Layson’s??

I ordered a luggage rack mounting kit, along with the tips early this year. I ordered from them because the site said nothing about being backordered like the others that I checked. Here it is months later, and nothing, so obviously, the parts were not in stock. I will move on, and consider it a...

What wheels came on my car?

OK, to me it looks like T87 (F70/14" Good Year RWL tires). Easy enough. I am assuming galens' report is correct with the magnum 500's with a trim ring. But, notice the build sheet has code 63 Road wheels, and W24. Galens' report shows W23 (Styled Road wheels/Magnum 500). Why am I seeing...

    1970 Cuda decklid differences??

ok, thanks. And, yeah, interesting mounting diagram, for sure. Many seem to hate the looks, but, mine came with one, so it's going to have one again.

    1970 Cuda decklid differences??

Ok, the trunk lid is one the questions I have yet to figure out on my car, and one of the reasons for joining this forum. My car came from the factory with a luggage rack, documented by the build sheet, and it was built Oct. 69 at the LA plant. It did not have a luggage rack when I bought it. At...

    New Illinois member

Wow. Fantastic group of E-bods! Love 'em all, but the blue AAR is my favorite. I would be so tempted to leave the big and little stance with Cragars, like we all did back in the day.

    Riding in from Texas

Hello my fellow E body amigos. Quick back story. My first car in 1978 was a 68 GTX (Which cemented my lifelong attachment to all things Mopar). My 2nd, a few years later was a 68 former pure stock 340 4-speed Formula S Barracuda fastback IHRA & AHRA drag racer that I bought as a roller and made...
