Which aftermarket gauges are good these days?

I just got through converting to original, Analog gauges. Mine were OER as I didn't want the Dakota Digital, not into the look, personally. Mine cost me some $$ to have done, but it was mostly due to the burned wiring under the dash that had to be repaired. I love them though! OC

    Exterior emblems...

"I’d be pissed" Yep, anybody should be that pays good money for garbage like that.

    Exterior emblems...

Well, I don't know Ray. But if you pay $65 for a cheap knock off like this, somebody should be held liable for it, I would think? I'm sure the OEM emblems didn't fade like this. I could see if it was subjected to adverse conditions, but it was not. Plus, I'll probably have to have a body shop...

    Exterior emblems...

Hey guys.. so I put new emblems on the car about 4 years ago (it had none when I bought it) and one of them imploded on me. It is the R/T symbol I bought new from Year One. At first, I noticed the red insert paint fading, and then the paint itself started to chip off! I couldn't believe it. So...

    Wiper motor not homing...

I have the typical (I believe) wiper motor not homing when the switch is turned off. I've heard different things like there is a disconnected wire inside the motor or a missing ground on the outside of the motor, but I couldn't find any particular post about it here anywhere. I've also got to...

    Door switches for interior lights...

Thanks for all the replies! DUH.. no I never thought to just disconnect and short the wires from the switches to see if the lights would go out! (just goes to show you don't necessarily get smarter when you get older.. LOL). "Should I be looking over my shoulder?" Probably... he he

    Door switches for interior lights...

Hey guys..so for the longest time, I've not been able to put bulbs in my interior lighting, down at the corner of the convertible trim panels. I put a whole new rear light harness in a couple of years ago, thinking I just had a short somewhere and the lights wouldn't turn off when the door was...

    R/T emblem painting??

Thanks pschlosser... Actually, I installed new hood emblems a couple of years ago also, and those haven't faded, so there's a mismatch. This thing is definitely light orange now, not red, the way it used to be. I don't know why it bothers me so much, I just know how stunning that emblem looked...

    R/T emblem painting??

Hey guys.. I'm wanting to repaint the red, inner part of this emblem. Its only been on the car a couple of years, but the red paint has faded badly and I want to repaint it. I was wondering if anyone had a particular paint they could recommend for this? Something that would hold up better than...

    Non-Rallye to Rallye Cluster?

I just had my 70 Chall converted, but I used all analog gauges. I paid a shop to do it, since I didn't have the time or the patience to do it correctly. Cost a pretty penny but it looks AWESOME.

    Turn Signal Switch headaches...

Reporting back.. the last one I ordered was from a seller called AM Auto parts on amazon. I'm pleased to say, the cam moved without too much effort. But I also chose to file out the bottom of the cam, so that the turn signal lever fit more snugly when the screw was tightened, and that seemed to...

    Turn Signal Switch headaches...

That's hilarious. I recently bought some USA made bits as well! And they drill through steel, where the cheaper, DeWalts don't hardly even drill through steel...how funny.

    Turn Signal Switch headaches...

Thanks for all the replies. Yeah, I might have chosen to rip the thing apart and drill out the rivets and all that stuff, but I didn't want to cause more damage to the unit... But since i'm probably throwing it away, I guess it wouldn't matter🤣 I'm waiting on a new one to come that I've...

    Turn Signal Switch headaches...

I thought about trying to do that, but in order to pry the cam off the old one and put it on the new one I think I'd do more damage to the plastic than it would help.. Plus you've got to transfer the wiring over as well of that cam. CORRECTION: Not Standard Auto, but Skyward Auto Products.. see...

    Turn Signal Switch headaches...

Hey guys.. so just today, I ended up trying to replace my switch in the column. I had bought one from RockAuto (I was ordering other stuff) and what came was a defective switch. The manufacturer is Standard Auto Products and the switch itself looked OK, but it had a significant defect. It was...

    Steering Column bracket

I just tried to take mine out for the second time and this time, the left (drivers) side bolt won't stay put and keeps turning with the nut... JEEZ... So I'm going to have to have the heater switches taken out to get to that bolt to replace it (too small for my hands to fit through). I was...
