    Vin and engine number

Factory screw-ups happened from time to time. I once had a '74 Charger that had a WP19 beginning to the VIN plate on the dash instead of WP29. There are no 19 body style codes. All the rest of the numbers of the VIN matched the engine, trans, door (with WP29), core support, etc.

    Transmission leak on 727

Sometimes what some believe is a pan leak is really coming from somewhere else and the fluid is just migrating down to the pan. The dip stick tube "O" ring is one, and the shift shaft seal is another. Occasionally the neutral safety switch is the culprit, or the extension housing gasket. I've...

    '72 Barracuda 6 to 8

The slant 6 K-member is the same gauge metal as any other K-member. It's just the engine mount perches that are different. Heavier duty torsion bars are definitely a good idea, as are better brakes (if it doesn't already have disc). In this day and age, I'd be tempted to go the Gen 3 route...

    Flex plate

Yup, except for the slant 6. I always wondered why they did that on an internally balanced V8 engine. Why not make it so it could go on any of the ways....both on the crank and converter?

    FOUND NOS Ignition switch

#1 shouldn't be. It's an ignition lock cylinder with key, not a switch. #2 is a switch.

    What the heck!

Are we seeing a crack here? I wouldn't run it like that if it is.

72 Barracuda Lt Door Window Regulator

Sounds like the wrong regulator. Where did it come from? It's an E-body Barracuda only regulator.

    Fender Tag options?

Not always the case. I used to have a '70 Inviolet Gran Coupe 225 auto with buckets, console, P/S and more.....wish now I had fiixed that car. Not a stitch of rust, just front end damage.

    SOLD NOS Gran Coupe emblem

I believe this is an NOS Mopar Gran Couple emblem for a '70-1 Barracuda. It came with some other NOS Mopar Parts I bought years ago, but, there was no packaging to verify that. It's a glue-on (no pins) and looks to be in good shape. $55 delivered via USPS to a first 48 state U.S. address only...

    1970 440 SE? OR RTSE?

A couple of things I'd want to know before going much further.....why are the door and fender not there? Wrecked? Unibody ok? Does he know where the original engine/trans went? Look on the pink slip for the VIN. No pink? I'd be real careful and check every VIN stamping I could find.

Average cost to install cam and lifters?

If your oil pressure is fine before the swap, the cam bearings are probably ok. They're a real pain to do with the engine in the car. Just be careful when you pull the old cam and when installing the new one that you don't damage the bearings. They're easy to nick. You haven't said which engine...

70 BARRACUDA HIGH RPM @HWY SPEED

What do you have for an exhaust system? If it's the stock 318 manifolds, that can cause a big bog on acceleration. On the brake issue, we need to know what the actual intake vacuum reading is before doing anything. It's a good indicator on what might be your hesitation problem too. I'd run a...

    fuel gauge ground issue

You need to include the sending unit, voltage limiter, and wiring harness in your calibration attempt. Those other items will effect the resistance in the circuit and therefor the calibration.

    Which spindle is which?

You're really going to put drum brakes back on the car?

360 or 340? Need some advice

Keep in mind that the swap will require the proper oil pan and torque converter/flywheel. The converter/flywheel won't interchange between the two engines unless the 360 has been internally balanced. The pan won't swap at all....end seal size is different.

    '72-4 Barracuda Cuda grille

Thanks, it's for a friend of mine. I'll let him know.

    '72-4 Barracuda Cuda grille

I don't see the grille listed on the Year One site. They have the '70 grille and the '72-4 Challenger grille but I don't see the '72-4 Barracuda listed. Do you know what page it's on? Thanks, Mark
