Totally agree. I see all the imperfections and work needed but at the end of the day it's still all mine! We're definitely lucky to have been able to hold on to these cars.
Hello all. I had a suggestion to do a post about the details of my car so here we go.
Back in 95 I was fresh out of high School and looking for a car to drive to college and work. I had some bad influences so I was focused on Mopars. I had narrowed my search down to a 70 road runner, 68...
Thanks!
I should probably clarify, I didn't mean to refer to it being a factory plum crazy car, just that outside of the Mopar world, purple cars aren't very common. And by the looks on most people's faces, they hadn't seen one before.
That being said, as far as I can tell it is a factory...
Thanks! I know they're not factory wheels but when I got the car back in 95 it had a set of mismatched slots on it and the style is kind of stuck with me now. The fronts are restored older slots and the rears are new us mags.
My neighbor told me about a local car show in memory of a girl that passed away from a brain tumor a few years ago and her favorite color was purple. How could I say no?
I got to meet her mom and hear about her story. It was a pretty cool event and I think lots of people liked seeing a real...
Thank you, but I don't know about that! There was a 71 v code challenger there that was immaculate. It even had a signature from Don Garlits inside the trunk lid.
Took the Challenger to it's first car show this weekend. Lots of work to get it to this point. It wasn't running perfect but it ran and didn't even think about getting hot even while cruising in traffic in the middle of the day. I even had my first drive with the whole family in the car and my...
Thanks! The car had a mismatched set of 14s on it when I got it back in 95. When I was doing the disc conversion and had to go up to 15s I figured I'd stick with that style since it fits the car so well.
Great input, thank you so much!
Now I will say I haven't looked too deep into core costs, but my first thought was to pick up a spare block and trans to build while my current set up was still in the car. That way the car wouldn't be down too long while I was swapping. So in that scenario, I'd...
I've got a 70 Challenger RT that currently has a non original 383 and a 727. I've got it back on the road and overall it runs decent. At some point I'd like to put a stroker in it, with a goal of about 450-500 hp. So not looking to push the boundaries at all, just want a decent driver, not too...
Little update on this one. I was able to find some new rollers at fall fling this last weekend. After a while I figured out that I'd need to pull out the window to get the rollers in. During that process I turned the wrong nut and snapped the bolt on the part circled in the photo. Anyone know...
The driver's side window on my 70 Challenger wouldn't roll up right anymore so I pulled the door panel off. I found one of the rollers on the vertical track in the front was broken. Is it possible to change them out with the window still in the door? It seems like I might be able to unscrew the...
Had to share this. Been working on my challenger getting it back on the road for the last couple years. Fuel system, cooling system, disc brake conversion, and front suspension rebuild later and I was able to join in with some neighbors for a little cruise. Today I even drove it to the gas...
Has anyone used a bouchillon kickdown cable and lokar throttle cable combination? Looking to see how others might have mounted the lokar throttle cable on that big bouchillon bracket.
