Have a 73 challenger with 727 auto, thinking of changing to a 518/46rh overdrive tranny. Has any one done this swap?, wondering how the linkage to a console floor shifter is to hook up ?

If you want to try free up the 340, pull plugs & mix acetone & ATF together 50/50 mix or whatever you desire down cylinders and leave it sit. The Acetone sucks the ATF into the rusted parts. Have used this method many times over and have had good results, hope this helps.

Parts stores can get a whistler that you thread into spark plug hole, turn crankshaft over with ratchet or breaker bar, it will tell you when you when your at TDC with 1 person. They work great!

Can you tell me what length shocks or part # you used in place of your trunk torque rods, have adjusted my rods as far as i can on 73 challenger & trunk lid still will not stay up. Any help would be great, Thanks Richard
