Looking for some help on my 72 Challenger. Im converting from a 904 auto to A833 and was wanting to know is the crossmember the same or does the 4-speed use a different one? Thanks for any help.

Attached is pictures of a manual 4-speed crossmember from a 1970 Barracuda. If your looks like this then they are the same. If not I have one for sale.

727 and 833 the same and I've replaced a 904 with a 727 without changing crossmember in an Abody. Not sure about the driveshaft length

I have a 74 cuda that had a 318 904 set in it. Replaced with 68 440 6 pack and a a833 trans. The trans mount is the same though you will have an issue with the drive shaft. You will need the one that fits with the 727 trans it fits both. Also the u joints will be an issue on the rear you can either use a u joint with one end smaller and one larger, or just change the u joint mout on the rear itself for the larger one. Sorry it's been awhile so I don't remember all the numbers and correct terms hope it helps you.
