I'm looking to buy a t/a 340 block. What is the average cost for one?

Average cost? don't know, but they are expensive. Since it's not going to be numbers matching why not go with a newer Perf block, better than an unknown history, 45 yr old block.

4 K for a long block taken apart or together.

If it was a runner when pulled, 10K.

If your aar vin match's the aar block, then the price goes up yet again.

Good luck. They are available, but pricey.
