Nope, not for the first few months of production. The 340 decals look good, but weren't original 340 4-Barrell call-outs chrome lettering?

Approximately when were these used and when were they replaced by the more common metal ones? What is the SPD of your car? Mine is 10/27, my original hood has no holes in it for the metal nameplates, so I'm assuming it came with the decals.

first week of november...yours should be a sticker car....Approximately when were these used and when were they replaced by the more common metal ones? What is the SPD of your car? Mine is 10/27, my original hood has no holes in it for the metal nameplates, so I'm assuming it came with the decals.
The hood has no crumple zones. The decals were used on the early A66 Challengers, October through about November/December when the metal emblems became available. My SPD was 10/7. Remember, the A66 Challengers were not formally available for delivery until early October, 1969.
Your car should have had the decals. Also your car should have the RT hood with no crush zones (if original) with such an early car.
Dan: Where did you get the decals for your hood from? NOS? Or does someone make them?first week of november...yours should be a sticker car....
