My 70 Challenger has had the floor pan brace cut to clear the a833 speed trans shifter linkages, leaving the trans crossmember secured with 3 of 4 bolts. I can't believe this is correct but have not found anything in the parts or repair manuals showing the trans installed. Can anyone point me to a photo of the correct mount installed?

The crossmember should never be cut , the linkage clears above the crossmember
It's hard to get a photo of but the crossmember is intact but the floor pan brace it bolts to is cut and looks like if it were there, the shifter could not mount.

Something about yours is not right but I can't put my finger on what it is.
My original 4 speed car uses all 4 bolts.

Take note of the installed linkage.

Although an A-body mine was cut as well. A B-body 4-speed was used in the car and my FIL cut it to fit the trans for whatever reason. I found a cross member and we cut and welded the missing piece back in.

Mine had been hacked out like that when I got it! I had to get a new one from AMD and replace it. Fortunately I had to replace the floor pan too so it wasn't that big of deal!
