70 R/T Challenger

Hi, I am the owner of a 1970 R/T Challenger. About 20 years ago I put a glass nose on the car and misplace the fender and fender tag. I am now interested in selling the car. It is a numbers matching car and with out the tag am not sure how to prove it. Can I get a copy of the tag using the Vin number or is there any other way to get it?

No with just a VIN; you need a build sheet.

Does the Vin at least authenticate something other than convertible and engine? The car has the original door with the sticker!

The VIN will tell you if its a vert or hardtop, engine size, and also if its an RT or not. It will not list any options that came with the car, thats where the fender tag and build sheet comes in.
The motor should have the vin stamped on it.
