It's all relative , moparleo what a car is worth and what someone will pay for it are to completely different things ... I will get some pics up of the car .. the only glaring mistake on the car is the bottom is painted body color ...

Why do you believe this to be a mistake? Mopars' bellies should be body color.

If I had money to burn and wanted a concour level 72, I might pay $45k, but why, when there are so many "better" choices for the same money? Yes, your former boss sounds like a scamming chooch.

WRONG ! They were NOT body color, they were overspray ... even Hemmings agrees on this ..

So have you ever restored a MOPAR?

See when you get into the MOPAR world of things and start throwing out one of ones, the MOPAR one of one car will be way way more rare then say a GM or FORD product.

I had a one of one car and it was a sister car to the one in the movie Lock Up, it was a 70 Coronet R/T and both cars were one of one.

You have to look at whats rare and in the MOPAR world when you break the codes down it doesnt take long to show what is rare and what is truly a one of one car.

Sounds like you've had more hands on with GM stuff and thats not a bad thing sounds like some good cars were saved I always liked the GSX cars. Those cars always made me wonder what they were thinking when they did the spoiler and color combo.

Do I think a 72-74 Cuda will go to hundred grand....You said it best when you said it has the level of restoration work, awards and face time with the public.

To restore a MOPAR to OE takes a lot more research, a lot of money and a lot more research.

MOPARs are tough cars to restore and finally we have AMD making panels for a lot of cars so a lot more will get restored now because of it and a lot more will be restored to a higher level.

Like you said a higher level restoration will bring a lot more money in the end.

AMD is 15 minutes from my shop ... great guys to deal with

Wow, you are sooooooooooooo tactful. NOT.

Was there a special "overspray" color, or was it BODY COLOR?

Hemmings is now an authority on Mopar restoration? Wow, I better get a subscription ASAP.

Maybe you should ask for your job back. You and the ex-boss sound like you deserve each other.

You might want to go back to 3rd grade, too, and learn the difference between "then" and "than".

LOL, yes actually Hemmings is very good at what they do , obviously the pans were body colored overspray, (and its not just Hemmings, Galen Govier will tell you the same thing, is THAT enough authority for you ?) I didn't think I had to explain it in that much detail. I already said I'm abrasive , so save the comments. Apparently you have a reading comprehension issue. As far as then & than, yeah I screwed up, so sorry grammar nazi. I bet you gift wrap and alphabetize your garbage too .. you OCD freak ...

The bottoms of our Mopars were not sprayed body color, none of them....Ever!
They were, I believe dipped in a primer, not completely submersed but up to about the top of the wheel tubs. Then they were shot with possibly another primer from the top and sides before the color which was also shot from the top and sides. This created some very consistant overspray up to and on the outside facing surface of the framerails.

Oooooooo......GALEN said so!

I just wet myself.

Odd that most of the original cars I've owned in the last 30 years had body color on the bottoms. Oversrpay, intentional spray, who cares? It's still BODY COLOR. Dipped in primer, dipped in horsecrap, who cares? Still body color under there.

Let me get this straight. YOU'RE abrasive, but we should keep our comments to ourselves?

You're a f*cking douchebag. There's an abrasive comment for you.

I believe you have a WRITING comprehension issue. No, you have MANY issues. You asked questions, we gave you answers. We don't give a crap if you don't like the answers.

Save up your money for therapy and psychotropic drugs.

LMAO, admit you are WRONG, don't come on to a message board, and try to purport yourself as an expert or even reasonably knowledgeable on a subject, when you don't know thing one about what you're talking about. People come on here for help, not to get bad info, from a rock sucking moron such as yourself. Hemmings Muscle Car Review is actually one of, if not THE best source for knowledge. They've been in the business longer than I've been alive. Galen Govier IS THE source for all things mopar.. for instance if you have a GG documented car, it's worth more, that's how much he knows.

As for saving my money for therapy ? Nahhh I'll just keep getting free therapy from theVA on YOUR dime ( assuming you're intelligent enough to hold down a full time job and pay taxes, but judging from your last response I'm going with no, no you don't ) due to my PTSD I acquired while serving my country and defending the Constitution, y'know, that document that gives you the right to be a total asshat.

I doubt very highly that some of your obvious lack of intelligence has owned one, much less multiple original cars, ever. If you did, you would have enough sense to realize YOU ARE COMPLETELY F*CKING WRONG...

Lastly, yes I am a douchebag , I'm an asshole, I'm whatever you'd like to call me. I'm also one other thing, CORRECT, that my good man is something you'll NEVER be.

All right, pissing match over now? One of you is right and abrasive, the other was just mistaken and it's no big deal. These are cars...I can definitely admit to thinking the wrong thing about details on these cars we all love so much and I also love being corrected because it means there's still more to learn. Let's move on shall we?
