I'm sure this has been asked before but I could not find it

I was wondering what I need to "suck" in my bumpers and can 70/71 bumpers fit.

Im tying to get rid of the bumper guards

thanks

Yes the 70/71 bumpers will fit. They do not have the slots for the jack. The front bumper bracket is adjustable front/rear but you may need to lengthen the bolt holes. The rear bumper brackets are not adjustable; you will need to make new ones or cut/weld the originals. They are very thick metal btw...

If your originals are in otherwise good shape you can remove the guards and weld up the holes / slots and have them re-chromed.

74 Challenger has unique rear brackets. Unlike other years of brackets they will not be a simple cut and shorten. I would get some 70 & 71 rear brackets for your car. You will need to drill new holes in your bumper in different locations to mount the bumper to the bracket. Then you can weld unneeded holes and rechrome them.
