Looking for 74 cuda dash frame with single speaker and no ac. Hopefully you will be willing to ship to Ohio.

As long as you're willing to pay for shipping, anything is possible. I've got a spare 1970 Barracuda single-speaker dash frame, no A/C with cracked dash pad attached, but it's still in the car and won't be out for another month or two. Do you want just the frame? Or the dash pad also? Not sure if the frame is any different between 1970 and 1974, but the Barracuda script on the pad was 1970-only.

The metal dash frames are all the same, all years & both models.

Only the dash pads vary. Single speaker, 3 speaker, A/C, non-A/C and, as mentioned, 1970’s script in the right corner.

I also ask, are you looking for the “frame” or a metal dash pad that’s non-air, single speaker

I would be interested in the pad also. Mine is shot because of the busted out windshield and the elements. I am willing to pay for shipping. Nothing is free

I actually need both. My interior guy is decent at it but the pad I have is gone and the only way I would be able to continue is wait till the mopar nationals next year. Just started on disassembly of car to repair sheetmetal.

You are aware that the 70 pad would be wrong for your 1974, if that’s even a concern.

I was aware that 70 was different but couldn’t I make it like a 74 and accept the barracuda badge if I have it redone. Please correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t proclaim to know everything.

Yes, you can do it however you want. You own the car. You get to decide. Most people will not even know what is "correct" for the car and what is not.

For some of us, learning what "correct for the model year" is and what it looks like, and seeking out doing it the same way, is part of the fun and challenge of these cars. It's not for everyone. It's more like an advanced game within a game. Not only restoring a car, but doing it in a way that it might look original.

But the advanced game is harder, takes more patience, more learning, and sometimes, more $$$.

That's a good question, sorry I don't know the answer to it. Please be careful who you take it to to get redone, remember this thread.....

Why wood you want an original pad to send out to get recovered when you can buy a repro pad there are 2 good sources , however I have a pad and dash frames and im in Steubenville Ohio if that is close enough to you, or call me 304 797 0607

All year frames for ebodies are identical except 1 speaker or 3 speaker versions.
All have a/c openings.
Just went thru this with mine.
This is a 1 speaker dash. 3 speaker is cut out between the 2 holes shown.

I think you misspoke here. All frames regardless of number of speakers are the same, Only the pads are different. Also note that the side ones aren't the same shape.

Referring to the dash pad metal structure as a "frame" may cause confusion with the dash frame to which it bolts.
