I purchased a 4 speed transmission and now am trying to figure out the original vehicle it was in using the stamped numbers on the pad on the side of it. Does anyone know how to do this or where I can look to find out?
Stamped on main case:
8B375XXX (Last three digits not listed)
PP83 4219
Thanks for any/all help.

8B3 is late 68 , installed in a car out fo the B plant / Hamtramck plant , I am not sure which models Hamtramck was building in 68 but if the trans is original it should only have the front shifter mount pad near the speedo cable not the rear E body mount

Thanks, but doesn't the date code 4219 specify February 14, 1973? The Mopar 10,000 day calendar? Could the transmission be made in 1968 and installed in 1973?

the Vin is 68 / 78 , so the trans would have been built in 73 if the 10,000 day calander is correct but according to the vin was installed in a car back in 68 ???
