Has anyone on this forum had any experience running an aluminum flywheel on the street? I assume my 383 will rev quicker but wondered about drivability? I've heard accelerating from a stop is different. Pro's and cons?

If my car was strictly for racing I would think about using one, but for every day use IMO I would use my original
flywheel.

I have used alluminum fly wheels in BMW's. The 6 cyl. cars seem to respond better to the alluminum flywheel then the V-8 cars. Maybe because of the lesser torque of the 6. From this experience I would guess that a big block Mopar would not see much difference on the street, since they have a lot of torque.

Do a search over on FABO. Been discussed a few times over there. Basicly it is like lighter rims or drive shaft. Less weight = less drivetrain loss and more HP to the ground.
