In my quest for an E body, I found what looks like a reasonably price 70 Cuda listed by Tonys classic cars based in Kentucky. The salesperson sent me a photo of the Barracuda dash vin plate and fender tag which match each other and do seem to match the car. Looking further at thier inventory however, I see there's a '55 Chevy converible for $28,500 along with a number of other cars that seem unreasonably underpriced. Anyone know if they're a legitimate business?
*edit* a Google search shows the same car for sale in Massachusetts for an additional $4k as well as others shown in "Tonys" inventory

lots of scams out there. Good on you for doing your research.

I have worked with Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown PA and purchased 2 different cars from them. They do it on a consignment basis and we easy to deal with. I visited the showroom and test drove the cars of course before purchasing.

I apologize. I worded my post stupidly. I'm not questioning YOUR sanity. But the sanity of the purported seller attempting to sell something they don't have.

I think I read an article on another site about an older couple getting whacked when they responded to a craigslist ad to view a classic car. I'm presuming they may have brought cash with them. What IS this world coming to when we cannot even go and check out a vehicle without bringing a bodyguard?

Sorry if this highjacking but sellers need to be careful too.
