Starting to take the proportioning valve apart but can't get the valve plunger at the top to move. Been soaking it past day or so but still won't move

Watch this video. This guy fitted a grease zerk in and pushed it out with a grease gun. About the 3 minute mark in the video. Try not to break it. Other than the rubber parts, nothing is available. Mine was not stuck.any ideas?

If yours is in fact broken like the guy in the video, I think Scott Hollenbeck at Muscle Car Research may be able to help you out. I lost the little spring and brass hat from mine and he happened to have some spare parts from one he had on hand. Good Luck

Oh....I know it didn't show everything but the part I was talking about was where he plugged a couple of the tubing holes and fabbed a grease zerk into one of them and pumped grease in to push that rubber and spring out. I did see the part getting the plunger out using the grease gun and that is how I got it out. I just didn't know how to get the shuttle valve out. I see how it is done now. As far as the shuttle valve, Once you get that plunger out along with that little brass hat & spring, there is a small V shaped hole at the bottom. You take a 1/8" long punch and tap it in there. It will push the shuttle valve and the brass seat out the other end. You can see the hole at the bottom of the picture here. It all comes out the other end.
