I'm afraid I know the answer, but there's always a chance.
I purchased new carpet for my '70 Challenger many years ago when I planned on converting it to a 4-speed. Over the last 18 years, my plans changed. Is there any way I can use the 4-speed carpet with the column shift auto car? I actually had the tunnel piece for the conversion, so I know how large it is. Has anyone successfully recut the carpet without it being really noticeable?

I would seek out a professional carpet layer. They splice carpet in homes all the time and if it's done right you can't tell where the seam is. If you could get someone in that line of work to help you it might come out pretty good.

Good suggestion. There's a carpet store near me.

Rock Auto has ACC carpet for less than $250 with shipping. It might be cheaper to buy the automatic carpet and sell your manual carpet then to pay a carpet guy to alter your manual carpet.
