I am looking to attend one of three car shows this coming weekend - Depending on the weather. As always, I go through "My Ritual" of detailing the car of my choice from bumper to bumper. This year, since all three are within a tankful of gas, I decided to show my Challenger.

Now admittedly, I haven't waxed the paint, since it doesn't see the light of day that much. Waxed once last year and that was done by a Detail business hired by the previous owner. Meanwhile, I would give it a shot of Mothers Showtime, "If" I had the car cover peeled back for longer than an hour or more.

Which brings me to this point. I am a big believer in Mothers products. However, last year, I jumped ship and bought a bottle of Adam's Buttery Wax. I applied it over the rosso corsa of my Brand "X" show car and...well...Wow! It hurt to look at it! The down side was the longevity the applied wax shine lasted (two weeks and that was it).

Now, I am not deterred by the life of this wax as long as I can achieve the same greatness as I did before with my other rosso corsa ride (My Challenger is finished with PPG Sunburst Orange Pearl). So, I logged on to my favorite on-line shopping store and bought another bottle of Adam's, but not before I checked out another brand with similar characteristics as Adam's. While I was looking at the other product, I took a minute or so and read the reviews. While this other brand had high ratings, one of the reviewers mentioned that he wasn't impress and preferred...and here is where we have gone full circle...Mother's Carnauba Wax.

SO!

This got me to thinking what products do my fellow Moparians use and why?

I have faithfully used Ardex Flint Glaze as my wax of choice for all my vehicles, show or daily driver. It is a paste wax that requires some elbow grease to work with but yields fantastic, long-lasting results. I find that it stands up to dozens of hot water washes. For my show cars, I will top that with Ardex Nano Sealant. This stuff is amazing. Ardex products are used by many auto dealership detail departments and marine applications which both demand a high-quality, long-lasting product. I have been using Ardex products for 30 years with nothing but great results. My opinion of course - hope this helps...

I use Griots best of show liquid wax..put it on with a orbital buffer take it off by hand with a fine cotton cloth. Press HARD with the buffer putting it on it leaves a smoother layer of wax that comes off easier.
