I am in need of a clutch set-up for my T/A. I am looking for something as close to stock performance as possible - nothing for drag racing or getting beat on. Any recommendations/suggestions? What do you use or have had good luck with? Thank you...

I have a diaphragm clutch for my Tremic 5 speed. Before that I had a borg& beck with 3 fingers with Chrysler 4 speed. Diaphram has much softer pedal. B&B was had a very stiff pedal. I really don't race so no worry about burning up the clutch. Although the clutch lining rivets popped, Good thing I was only a mile from home had to start in gear. Get a new disc under warranty.

I have what the factory used in my 383 4 spd, Borg & Beck or Borg Warner 3-finger style. It is very stiff but have not had any issues with it.

That means B&B style, 11" scalloped I believe.

With a diaphragm type pressure plate you can have another pivot ring added in a different location and this increases the clamping force while lowering the required pedal pressure at the same time.

I put a Centerforce Stage 3 dual friction clutch (diaphragm style p-plate) in my plow truck. The more power you put to it, the more it grabs. Never have a slip issue and it isn't tough to drive either. Not sure why I didn't think of that style for my cars too! Thank you all for responding...
