convertible back seat

just found out i have back seat from hard top in my convertible. aluminum piece for boot is there. how screwed am i???? can i adapt the hard top back or is it totally wrong. thanks for any help...

dont exactly have an answer... but that alumium piece is gotta be usefull to somebody!!
