B body are shorter and will work on ebody. They just don't have the ribs. I changed out my crush can with a b body one to get the wheel closer to the dash. Although it does move the wheel farther away from you there is a drawback. Since the steering colmn comes at an angle, when it goes closer to the dash it also gets closer to your knees. For me it was to low and hard for me to get my legs under.
