I need help to tune my EFI sniper on a 1970 CUDA 440 HIGH PERPROMANCE.

I have a High Energy Ignition distributor and needs help on the folowing tuning:

TIMING
I'm told that all I need to time is to use a timing light and adjust the timing to 7-8 degree = is that correct.

Also I'm told that I dont need to adjust anything via the EFI monitor.

AFR TUNING

I'm told to adjust as follows:
IDLE 14.0
CRUISE 14.5
WOT 12.5

MY CUDA is a street machine (about 375 HP) and the cam is a COMP BB MOPAR EXTREME ENMERGY - KEITH BLACK PISTON

Please provide me your comment - all I want is that the car co runn good.

Thanks!

With today's pump gas, you likely need more initial timing than 7-8°. I run the Holley Terminator X on a 440 stroker (500CID) and my initial is 16° for starting.
You will want to use a Hyperspark distributor to allow the EFI ECM to adjust your timing automatically. Timing control is a major advantage with EFI.
Your initial AFR numbers look good. Using a laptop or PC to tune is preferred but there are a lot of people who use the EFI handheld monitor display with the wizard to do their tuning. The computer with Holley EFI software is the ultimate way to properly tune and offers far more tools to tweak the tune.

I have a High Energy Ingnition system and my motor has approximately 375 HP - then do you still think I need a timing of 16 degree. Thanks!
