Looking for a upper cowl. I know new ones from classic indus. Goes for $325. I don't have to replace my whole cowl just needing some pieces of one

Thanks

The originals were likely bare metal, underneath, from the factory; So yours may be very rusty underneath and, so may any replacement you find. They are expensive but if you find one on sale it would be the better option to fix it with new metal, IMO. My cowl was rusty, I thought I could save it but it was paper thin. I made holes in it just brushing the rust off.

Mine is pretty bad. Probably worse than that. I seen in some.post on another forum (forgot it) a guy was taking them out of wrecked cars. They said the quality was good but I didn't think about rusting underneath

Your cowl is normal. Many rust that way. Replace the upper cowl with one from AMD. Trying to repair that one will send you chasing your tail.

I have a 72 cuda that the cowl is perfect. And sat outside 25+ years. The floors and rear rails are gone in it tho. I guess I'll just go ahead and order that cowl

Your fire wall is rusted too, those holes go all the way to the pedals. Once I got my cowl off I saw my firewall was rotten too. Get yourself a good american made spot weld cutter (Amazon product ASIN B004F1JY0W) the cheap ones dont last! I removed my firewall in an afternoon. Look at my album, pics 11 thru 29. Challenger

Get the parts on sale, and if you can pick them up u will save a lot on shipping.
