I've been restoring my dad's 70 Barracuda for a while and I'm closing in on finishing it soon. In anticipation and for his birthday a couple weeks ago, I made this replica of it for him. He bought the car in 73, park it in a field in 87 and I started the Restoration in 2013.
So obviously nobody makes a slant six standard/flat hood '70-'74 Barracuda, so I got creative. This originally started out as a 1:24th diecast shaker hood model. I did a little bit of body work by bondo'ing and flattening the hood, removed the rear window louvers and spoiler and filled in those holes, the rear valance was also filled and smoothed for a single cutout exhaust, removed the passenger side mirror. On the interior I removed the console and did it up. I kept the pistol grip shifter because I'm switching up from the three speed manual to a 4-speed overdrive. He's a farmer, hence the Lego driver that just happened to fit right. For the engine, found a guy on eBay that 3D resin prints slant 6 engines and they are about as perfect of a scan and replica print as you could do - distributor, fuel pump, oil filter, the little spark plug tubes, +++, seriously every minor detail. The only thing I didn't correct is the wheels, I ran out of time
