Yep, left the Peoples Republic of California and went to Idaho. Our electric/gas bill went from $350 a month to $84. Mt truck registration went from $508 a year down to $84 a year. We sold an okay home built in the 80's for $560,000 and bought a bigger, nicer, newer (built in 2016) house for $100k less. And I'm making about the same. No fires, no earthquakes, no water shortage, no crime. Cheers!
Congratulations.!! My better 7/8 parents. One worked a Atomic city and other at Arco. Then in Rexburg a Police officer got her out of there as the dam busted. Lost everything. She said there are real people there in ID, a few stage birds but you get that any where. She had a 70 challenger. Going to work if she would pass under a bridge when Paul Harvey came on, she would take advantage of the wide open roads.
She looks very similar to this but she didn't have a convertible. I'm one lucky guy!

I know some one that had a Lincoln Navigator in his garage parked next to his restored 70 Challenger. Anybody want to take guess what happen!🔥🔥🔥 Saved house and their lives Lost attached garage and every thing in it. Bought challenger back from insurance co. I don't think I will be buying an EV. you couldn't give me one. I would burn it to save me some trouble. I hope the internet police and AI police see this. Not to mention when I change home insurance co from time to time they ask. A few questions for liability purpose. Do you have dog do you have trampoline? Do you own an Electric vehicle? I wonder how the will change the premium!

Don't believe the hype! We are doing Smokey ass burnouts and heating our dinner with gas...

and I understand, for the most part, we're (USA) making electricity using mostly fossil fuels. So what's the point in going all-electric vehicles? Not to mention all the methane leakage from refineries, where methane is 80 times more greenhousey than carbon dioxide. Don't get me started.

The whole EV industry is sham, especially in China. They take investors' money based on fraudulent "sales" and then skip off with the $.
Same with bicycles and other industries there.

As a Theoretical Particle Nuclear Astrophysics. have to solve somebody else field of dreams of stupidity. The EVs need to be parked at a solar or wind farm to store the energy for when it is needed. A big fire! Not mention it it a waste of natural and human resources. The human suffering in an under developed area generates a hazard for them and all of us. I do believe in not in defecting in the water supply. The corporations and counties disregard this in the proustite of control. I do believe in responsible actions. Your actions determine who you are.
Fossil fuels have been here are the her to stay, if they are used or not.
“At an exhibition in Aberdeen in 1840, it was Robert Davidson who first showed a working electric vehicle to the public. This was no mean a small feat in the mid-1800s. Since it's development it has not came to fruition. Maybe it's a matter of convenience. If it hasn't worked by now it might not ever. not to mention all the infrastructure issues.

The high amount of energy we get from fossil fuels, something we pump out of the ground, is not easy to replace. Electric Vehicles are ONE solution to our global warming problem, but it's not THE solution - it is fraught with several pitfalls that, in some cases, do more harm than good. I expect EV will be replaced by a better solution, if/when we figure things out. But it will take innovation and imagination to solve this (nearly runaway) greenhouse problem we are seeing.

The hybrid vehicle, like the Toyota Prius, is marginally better than an all electric, because fossil fuels can be used to recharge itself. This resolves some of the downsides to an all electric.

There was a really innovative railroad engine, I forget the name, that used diesel generators to power electric motors to move the train. It was really, really effective at what it did. But the declining use of railroad for shipping killed it off.

There is no energy magic lie we find in so many science fiction stories. We've been exploiting the concentrated energies found in fossil fuels for a long time. And we've known it's not sustainable... we've known we will, someday, run out of this commodity.

We may need to rethink transportation in general. This one-person per vehicle running errands thing is pretty darn inefficient. But like gun ownership and freedom (to mouth off) of speech, we may take these luxuries for granted.

All diesel locomotive train engines in the U.S. use diesel powered generators to power the electric traction motors! But you're right, it was pretty innovative, they've been around for a long time and not likely to go away anytime soon.

I don't mind the idea of a diesel/electric vehicle. Diesel is more efficient than gasoline. I just don't want or have the desire to buy a battery powered vehicle. I'll switch to alcohol first.

It does seem kinda cool driving a vehicle that runs on a fluid you can drink for some fun.

When did hey stop making 318,340,360,383,440,426 etc... still out there.
They made millions of Gen III Hemi cars and trucks. How many years before they are gone from the roads/tow/wrecking yards ?
We will be long gone before the internal combustion engine is gone (never).
Just another swing of the environmental pendulum.
Just because you make a regulation doesn't mean it will really happen. They can't make enough electricity to run home a/c's now.
Add millions of cars that need charging every few days...
I wonder how long it will be before China sends a computer virus that renders the computer cars useless.

I can see it now fuel lines for everyone including the passengers and the engine. Wonder what would suck it dry first? Ether way it would be bad fuel mileage.

Days are numbered for everything new GAS.
Change is good and all good things come to an end - with new change.
Did anyone believe we would see GIII Hemi in the 90's?

What they should really be pushing is Hybrids. Gas & Electric could live well together. Especially for a long drive.
