Dome light bulb question

Dome light bulb on an overhead console calls for a b2112. Unfortunately had a 561 in there. They have 2112 that are LED now. Can that LED bulb bulb be used on stock wiring?

Definitely. Draws less amperage than an incandescent.
Stick with the more yellow bulb if you want it to look original. Otherwise, you can use whatever color you want but the dome lense will change it a bit since the yellowed plastic filters the color.

2112 is for the round dome light for cars without the overhead console.

551 was the original bulb for the overhead console, they're very tough to find, and some use the 561 now. And yes that one can also be used in LED. I've also heard of using a 578 in the overhead console, haven't tried it myself yet.

You are saying the 561 I took out was the correct bulb? If so, it works and will keep it.
