Well I decoded what I could on my fender tag when I bought the car, now that I am tearing it down and prepping the whole restoration process, I cleaned up the fender tag and completely decoded it. I'm not trying to say my car is special or unique, I could be completely wrong but a few of the options and how it was built, I'm curious if it's even semi rare or if ayone has seen something similar. Again it's probably not but I want to consult those more knowledgable then I on this.

It should be an E24 not E44 coded car. A nice color combination; but nothing is outstandingly rare on the car.

ok I could be wrong wouldn't be the first time but E24 is for the slant six and E44 is the 318 2 barrel according to the codes I have pulled up again I could easily be wrong, but I know mine came out of the factory with a 318 doesn't matter as I doubt it will be going back butterscotch, the car is plum crazy now probably going with GB5 true blue metallic to match my wifes 71 Demon

The C code is for a 225 6. Your car came with a 225 not a 318. 318 code is G. I personally like the butterscotch.

Well when I broke it down it seemed somewhat rare too me, it probably isn't but a butterscotch car with white vinyl top white pinstripes and white interior, every butterscotch car I have seen has black top and stripes or a white convertible top

Well it's no where near origial now, I bought it like the first pic. now it loos like this, reparing to go to the body shop for new quarters and wheelhouses. I wanted to paint it gb5 true blue metallic to match my wifes demon, but I'm starting to thin it should go back original inside and out except for the 440 I have for itchallenger 004.jpgWP_20150410_19_24_03_Pro.jpg

Well, it's your car, if you don't think you'd be as happy with it in EL5 as you would be if it were blue than paint it blue.

Take the tag off and read it from the backside. Many times old tags are easier to read from the back.

That is one stunning original color combination. I say go with the original. 71 color only. That's pretty cool.

Nice ride whether blue, purple, or butterscotch !!

Cuda Hunter I think your right I'm still not really a huge fan of the color, however, with the original setup with white stripes, white vinyl top, and white interior I think that's the way we're gonna end up going
