Finally Landed the Fish

[Fishgutz]

This journey began in earnest about 10 years ago. Fast forward to today and I could not be happier!!! With more blood, sweat, tears and cubic dollars than we ( my closest friend and myself) ever imagined, she’s beautiful.
The last leg of the journey was on a trailer from Sacramento to the California”s North Coast. Our first run was on the famed Highway 1, words cannot describe the feeling of cruising the Mendocino Coast in a ‘70 Cuda!!!
Thanks to all that have given me expert advice and encouragement along the way.

Nice looking fish! Looks like a 383 or 400 block. Driving a Barracuda on highway 1 would be fun. Not sure about towing one though!

They are out of a mid 2000’s Bemmer 3 series. A local upholstery shop Acme Tops & Tunes in Sacramento suggested they would be a good fit. He was right, they fit perfectly. But….I had to make several different sets of brackets before I got them right. Acme did a beautiful upholster job.

Yup, a .030” over 383, #’s matching. About the only thing that’s #’s matching left on the Cuda. Fender tag was long gone when I bought it.
No more trailering, just didn’t want to drive her 200 miles from Sacramento to the North Coast. She’s home now and time to have some fun!!!

Looks great. Fun to build them, but more fun to drive them. Guaranteed, all of us spent more than we originally planned. Hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
