Has anyone built a stand to restore a rear axle on? I need to refinish and build out the rear axle assembly for installing in my 70 cuda, including brakes, lines and leaf springs. I would like to install as one complete unit but need to find a way to hold it while I am working on it. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rich

I did some tinkering in my shop and here is what I came up with. It's very stable and easy to work on. For installing on the car, I will put some cheap furniture moving skates under it to slide under the car and for final positioning. I will hang it from my engine hoist to paint though. Total cost wast $10, plus some stuff I had around the shop.
