Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

I am looking to purchase a new sending unit for my 71 383 Challenger, I see them from 39.95 to 169.95, does anyone have any experience with the current aftermarket choices? Some are stainless some are not, some have plastic floats some brass, some have stranded wire some have a flat wire. Some are authentic Mopar reproduction, all opinions welcome, Thanks Charlie

Thanks, great info, what a can of worms, I saw a NOS sending unit at Carlisle for 350.00. I guess 45 years sitting on a shelf shouldn’t hurt it, but too much for me, sounds like aftermarket is a crapshoot

We offer full line of sending units. If you receive it and are not happy with it simply call us and we will take care of it. That said, we have used these on our shop projects as we build cars for ourselves and our customers and we have had very little issues. Normally, it is simply a ground issue when there is.

I ended up getting my OE sending unit rebuilt by Tri Starr in Seneca Fall NY. Excellent turnaround, ohms calibrated, 129.00 1 year warranty. Installed it yesterday gauge reads empty and full perfect.
