Go Wing Spoilers - Price Difference?

I think I have found my dream car, a 70 Barracuda, to buy (I don't want to jinx it!) and hopefully, I'll have it in a week!

It orig. came with a luggage rack, but the current owner took it off when he re-painted it like 15 yrs ago. The car doesn't have a spoiler (and it has a flat hood, which I'll have to change too). I've looked at prices and there's a spoiler for $400 and another for $280 that's non authentic.

Does anyone know if there's a difference in quality? Or is it just one is Mopar approved and the other not. How hard are they to do it yourself? I don't have any experience with spoilers or major body work, but I've done minor stuff like changing hoods on my RR.

That would depend on the manufacturers. The better ones cost more. They are less likely to sag in the middle after exposure to the sun. They will be the correct size so that they will look correct on your car. It is a get what you pay for situation. I don't know what companies offer the best reproduction. Someone on here will know and chime in.

I will send you some info on the installation of the wing. There is a procedure that must be followed, otherwise when you tighten it down, you will pucker your trunklid.

Does a template come with it? I've seen some pics of bad installations.....too far forward or back. I don't wanna screw it up.

Just bring it over to the house. I have all the engineering drawings and templates to put it on. Call me.

Price is probably due to what they are made of. It would be best to find out.

Put some metal sleeves on the spoiler studs and it won't pucker the trunk lid.
