Well after deciding my 340 wasn't able to make the power I wanted on my budget. I found and got this 440. BME aluminum rods, lightened steel crank forged dome pistons, internally balanced, crower roller cam setup 1.6 roller rockers for .726 total lift triple valve springs, gear drive, miloden oil pump, ported and polished 452 heads, msd billet distributor, weiand dual quad intake with dual 650's Supposed to be close to 13:1 compression.

Wow It looks like it has at least 3-4 different brands of main cap bolts? Are you doing the reassembly your self or did they do that already? I would also check the springs for coil clearance and that the rocker arm rollers should be centered over the valve stem throughout its travel. Could be the angle of the photo, it just looks wrong.

I can't believe it has stock bolts at that level... If you're putting studs in it, the main bores will need to be honed with the studs in place.

I've been busy doing other things to her, I believe the heads have been decked as the casting numbers are ground off on the edge. I pulled the cam out to get numbers off it, It hasn't been produced in a few years seems the engine has done more sitting then anything since it was built, it's actually a crane solid roller cam with the 1.6 rockers nets .800 total lift. they re keith black pistons that protrude just a hair above the deck. I am going to pull the rotating assembly before long to get measurements on the BME aluminum rods. been busy stripping the entire car for paint as the last owner butchered to poor quarters and rebuilding the entire suspension/brakes with all new parts, the cam in the picture was a second cam he through in with the motor
