I hope you’re all doing well! I recently acquired a 1970 Cuda and found these two wires that were disconnected and I could use some help identifying. There are two wires—one blue and one green—that have been disconnected from the bulkhead connector. The top position has voltage when the key is on, but the bottom one does not. I’m trying to identify what these wires are for and their correct positions for connection. I’d really appreciate your insights. Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking wiper switch wires. But someone else will probably chime in soon with an absolute answer for ya, lol.

Correct, that is the engine side connector for the wiper motor. If you pull the plug out, you’ll see a little bump off the side that is a semi circle on the bottom of this diagram of the plug. That will orient you on which wire goes where.

To clarify my post, the blue should go top right on the connector in this pic. Green goes bottom right.

You really need to check out all the wiring at those connectors. I see some cracked insulation, exposed wire ends and questionable terminals.

BTW, go on over to welcome wagon and introduce yourself.

You might want to call Bill Evans and order new harnesses. Save yourself some additional headaches in the future.
And yes, please introduce yourself and post some photos of your 70 Cuda on the Welcome Wagon!

Thanks for all the great answers, everyone! I really appreciate your insights. I have a follow-up question: is it possible to get the connector out of the bulkhead plug to squeeze the wire on it? Looking forward to your advice!

Remember to open up the tang after pushing it back into the plastic housing. You could buy new connectors, I get mine from a local electronics store, or Bill Evans might mail you a couple. Getting the harness from him would be the best bet though, your wires look poor.

PS: this is a 2 speed wire motor, correct?
