Hood Emblem Dimensions

Hi everybody, looking for some help here... Does anybody know the exact dimensions of the hood emblems on a Challenger? (440 six pack specifically would be nice), but I really just need to know the height and how thick the actual emblem is. I'm 3D printing some custom ones and I don't have any on hand right now.

They are different heights, the "440" is one size and the "SIXPACK" is another. I will measure mine and like you know.

Here are the dimensions

Height of the 440 = .664
Height of the SIXPACK = 1.101
Thickness (on car) = .225
Thickness (off car) = .213

I suspect that there is a slight gap from the emblem to the hood which is why I measured a different emblem, it is a "383 MAGNUM" emblem but I am pretty sure they are the same thickness

Thanks so much! I’m making some custom 526 MAX WEDGE (might do 526 SIX PACK… haven’t decided) emblems and this helps immensely.

Well since you are at it... how about some 345 HEMI emblems.. I was planning to 3D print some but I have to decide which CAD program to use plus I have to buy a 3D printer..

The only thing I am not sure of is how to get the numbers in chrome or a chrome appearance. There was a company making billet ones for new Challengers and they are still operating I think but I tried to get them to give me some dimensions and they basically wouldn't respond unless i was ordering. The ones they made looked like the originals which is why I wanted them except they say 345 HEMI.

Keeping an eye on this one! I wouldn't mind getting some "5.7 L Hemi" emblems for my hood!

@70chall440 Here's what I came up with. I couldn't match the font exactly, but here's where I ended up. I'll print some prototypes tomorrow. I just used the same measurements you took from the 440 sixpack emblem.

Slight revision... Made the chamfered edges square instead of beveled.

That looks good, I just noticed that the 426 emblem and the 440 Sixpack emblems are opposite in that with the 426 emblem the numbers are larger than the letters bit on the 440 emblem the numbers are smaller than the numbers

And here's take two with the supports all in a line...

Not sure which I like better. They're both about equal as far as rigidity goes. Right now I'm working on the 526 MAX WEDGE badge and I'm using a 2mm offset from the top of the emblem to the relief. These ones only have a 1mm offset. Will update when they're done printing, then if they look better I'll print some more of these with the 2mm offset.

I like the first ones (I think) but you are right in that they both look pretty good.

There are some chrome paints that look great; not Krylon... Eastwood’s maybe.. but with any paint that has a lot of metal in it I would clear coat it to prevent oxidation.
