I would only think we all at one time or another have had this. It seems (if I remember correctly)that this just came about last fall before I put the car away for the winter. But there is a steady hum when playing the radio. I have checked all the connections, especially the grounds and all seems fine. So any input would greatly appreciated.

Does the hum change pitch as the engine rpm changes? Is this a stock radio or aftermarket?

We don't know anything about the engine, as all you asked was any ideas ? The common ones for any engine size are solid core plug wires, non resistor spark plugs, missing/bad radio resistor that attached to the coil, bad grounds. The noise is obviously electrical interference of some type. If it just started to happen out of the blue, nothing done to the car and the car is running properly it is going to be tougher than if you did something and now you have the problem.
